Common Sense Budget Act
Transfers Wasteful Pentagon Spending to Health, Schools, and other priorities like Homeland Security and the Budget Deficit

What: U.S. Representatives Lynn Woolsey (D-Petaluma) and Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) are joined by a group of business and retired military leaders in introducing the “Common Sense Budget Act.”
The “Common Sense Budget Act” would transfer $60 billion from outdated and unused Cold War era defense programs to priorities that benefit America’s long term security, like schools, healthcare and humanitarian foreign aid.
